Our efforts in 2005 alone helped eliminate 14.5 million pounds of pesticides, herbicides and synthetic fertilizers from entering our soil, water and food supply. In addition, we produce all of our products using 100% renewable energy. All of this serves to make every glass of our milk taste that much sweeter.

There is nothing more important than the care and treatment of our cows. That's why at our two dairies and at the 353 family farms that supply our milk, we are doing everything we can to ensure their well-being. We are providing them with the finest holistic healthcare, making sure they are never confined and that they graze regularly. In addition, we are calling for stricter and clearer industry standards concerning grazing.

To lead the way, we are adding 2,500 acres of organic pasture to our Idaho dairy to increase our herd's grazing time. We have always provided the highest-quality organic dairy products and produced them with respect for the natural behaviors of the animals. When our cows are healthy and happy, we are, too.

Today, we rely on 353 family farms, 98% of which have herds of fewer than 500 cows. Their efforts contribute nearly 80% of our total supply. And, to ensure that smaller family farms continue to thrive and supply the best milk possible, we will be spending $20 million over the next five years to help more of them transition to organic production. So, with their help, we can continue to make a big difference in the lives of families everywhere.
