Bonanza, Oregon
Arie and Jenneke DeJong run their organic dairy farm with hard work, dedication and a
deep–rooted passion for organic. Longtime proponents of a healthy lifestyle for
themselves and their five children, Arie and Jenneke felt it was only right that their
cows should also enjoy the benefits of a natural, holistic approach to good health. After
starting the transition to organic in late 1999, Bonanza View Dairy shipped its first
organic milk to Horizon Organic in July 2004.

Sidney, Maine
Wayne and Patty Bragg were first attracted by the economics of organic farming, but soon
found that the benefits run far deeper than the bottom line. The Braggs have been thrilled
to tap into Horizon Organic's broad network of organic farmers, gleaning valuable information
and support from others who share their commitment. Today, the couple raves that their milk
tastes creamier than ever before, and even their barn cats are healthier! The best benefit
of all: knowing that their granddaughter, who only drinks "Grandpa's milk," is getting the
very best.

Deford, Michigan
When Ed Zimba converted his Michigan farm to organic in the early 1990's, his was the only
organic dairy farm in the state. Fortunately, Horizon Organic shared his pioneer spirit, and was
happy to work with Ed from early on, despite the added costs of sending out a milk truck for
just one farm. "They were more than willing to do whatever it took to keep me on," says Ed.
Today, organic dairy is growing fast in Michigan, and that's great news for Ed, for Horizon
Organic – and for everyone who loves our milk!
