 In 20 years in dairy, I've seen organic dairy grow from a tiny specialty market to a booming national industry. It's the kind of success that might change the way a company does business - except that when it comes to organic farming, some things never change. For Horizon Organic, it all started in 1991 with a handful of visionary dairymen and women who believed in organic values like environmental stewardship, animal compassion, family health and sustainability. These values weren't ideals, they were concrete goals - achievable through hard work and honest commitment. 
Like most good ideas backed by sweat and integrity, organic farming caught on. Over time, the organic community grew, with Horizon Organic helping to lead the industry's expansion and success. In fact, our founders played a key role in helping to develop the National Organic Standards and the U.S.D.A. Organic Seal.
